[Abstract] This paper summarizes and reviews the development characteristics and functional values of various types of domestic drama festivals, highlighting the guiding effectiveness and entertainment value that are worth advocating and continuously deepening in the development process of domestic drama festivals, thus highlighting Xinzhuo International Drama Festival's major experience in becoming a renowned domestic drama festival and outstanding achievements, affirming its pioneering development philosophy and operation mode of "cultural & creative integration" in facilitating construction and shaping of national cultural undertakings and people's beautiful life philosophy. Applying theories of ceremony threshold and composite positioning of festival services, it starts from elements involved in Xinzhuo Drama Festival's overall positioning, such as competitors, target consumers and geographical ecology, and explores the possibility of building the Festival into a diversified integrated ceremonial threshold space; and how the long-term mechanism of coordinated integrated development of "travel + festival" is achieved. In addition, the author believes that drama festival culture in China is still in its preliminary stage. Xinzhuo Drama Festival should look to the world, align with world-class festivals, compare its positioning advantages and disadvantages against the French Avignon Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Berliner Festspiele, draw on others' strengths and avoid their weaknesses, and build a Xinzhuo Drama Festival positioning with distinctive cultural characteristics based on China's basic national conditions for socialist cultural undertakings.

Starting from drama festivals' characteristics as ceremonial festival activities, it analyzes the relationship between ceremonies and Xinzhuo Drama Festival's positioning development, and builds the festival into an ideal threshold for coordinated integrated development of Xinzhuo tourism, drama festival celebrations and cultural arts. It approaches from the perspective of how people can rethink life guiding life through the conditions and opportunities of small town travel and drama festival revelry, focusing on travel as a dynamic model shifting from "ordinary life state" to "extraordinary drifting state", and proposes the goals and strategic approaches of building Xinzhuo Drama Festival into an ideal life boundary with key positioning.
