The author Zhao Kangwei has a PhD in Literature from East China Normal University, mentored by the famous literary theorist Professor Qian Guyong. He is a guest professor at the School of Film and Television Arts of Shanghai University, master's supervisor, and former editor-in-chief of Shanghai TV and TV Drama Art magazines. Currently he is a guest professor at the School of Communication of East China Normal University and postgraduate supervisor at the School of Film and Television Arts of Shanghai University, and deputy editor-in-chief of Communication Studies Collection. As a veteran media professional, Zhao Kangwei has been a leader in cultural and media industries since 1980. He participated in organizing China's earliest cultural markets and pioneering various large-scale international cultural exchange activities. He made dozens of trips to the United States, Japan, Australia and other countries for theme park visits. Since 1993, he has successively founded Sino-US joint venture Shanghai New Kontinents Communications Co., Ltd., co-established Sino-Canadian Huashen International Education Exchange Co., Ltd. and other cultural education enterprises.
