From October 11 to 14, 2023, the 20th Music Chinawas held at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. Co-organized by the China Musical Instrument Association (CMIA), Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., Music China, as one of the world's largest musical instrument fairs, has brought together 1,822 well-known companies from more than 70 countries and regions. It filled the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center, with an exhibition area reaching 120,000 square meters, 20% larger than in 2020, including 10 halls and 3 outdoor exhibition areas. At the same time, it presented over 100 forums and lectures and over 400 indoor and outdoor performances, creating a cultural feast of music that integrates industry trade, new product launches, educational promotion, cultural performances and information release for musical instrument companies worldwide and audiences across the industry.
The 34th Shanghai Tourism Festival is held from September 16 to October 6, 2023. Adhering to the theme of "Festival for the People", this Tourism Festival will continue to proceed from Shanghai's most resourceful and advantageous aspects, promote integration of culture and tourism, highlight culture through tourism and develop culture and tourism together, strive to achieve high-quality integration and development of culture and tourism, better meet the new public demands for "quality, experience, diversity and safety" in culture and tourism consumption, help Shanghai become the number one city of inbound tourism in China, and accelerate its development into a world-famous tourism city.
The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as "CIFTIS") opened in Beijing on September 2. The scale of exhibitors at this CIFTIS has expanded, with over 2,400 enterprises exhibiting offline, including more than 500 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders. The total exhibition area is 155,000 square meters, with nearly 280,000 visitors in total. 59 countries and 24 international organizations set up exhibitions and conferences, 12 more than the previous session, with an overall internationalization rate exceeding 20%.
The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2023 was held from March 28-31 in Boao, Hainan, under the theme An Uncertain World: Solidarity and Cooperation for Development amid Challenges. This BFA annual conference set four panels: "Development and Benefit for All", "Governance and Security", "Region and World", and "Present and Future". It is the first fully offline conference since the COVID-19 outbreak three years ago, and an important major multilateral diplomatic event after China's Two Sessions.
