The mid-term review is an important part of postgraduate training, an overall inspection of postgraduate research learning and research work after enrollment, focused on testing the progress of specialized dissertation research after approval. The degree dissertation is an academic paper of certain scale with innovative insights independently written by postgraduates based on theoretical learning and professional practice. It concentrates the ability to independently conduct research, and serves as an important basis for evaluating whether postgraduates meet graduation criteria and can obtain their degrees. The mid-term review, especially necessary guidance from the collective supervisor review team at this stage, is greatly beneficial for improving dissertation quality and smoothly going through the pre-defense next semester.
